DEMO LOOMS IN OFFINSO NORTH! -Over unpaid EC registration officials allowa
About 120 temporary staff the Electoral Commission of Ghana engaged in the June 2020 Voter Registration Exercise in Offinso North district in the Ashanti region are hinting of going on a demonstration over their unpaid allowances.
They feel deceived by the district Electoral Officer, Eric Gyamfi Boateng, who has not kept his words on getting them paid despite demanding their data again over their previous ones he claimed got missing.
Below are some of the text messages sent by the Electoral Officer, Eric Gyamfi Boateng, to the WhatsApp platform of the aggrieved beneficiaries:
“The good news is that starting from next week, your accounts will be credited with Registration allowance. I’m currently in Accra. The Director of Finance has shown me the cheque raised for all Offinso North Officials. Expect it in batches”

“Please, it’s not about counting of days. Trust me, I was in the Accounts Director’s Office, I saw it. A written cheque and the list. Don’t count days. He said it may not drop for all on same day, he also didn’t give day 1, day 2 or day 3 but he said from that day to the end of the week. Keep your fingers crossed and wait.”
