DISRUPTIONS TO THE FLOW OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC ON N1, N2 AND N4 HIGHWAYS, MAJOR ROADS TO BE BLOCKED – HIGHWAY AUTHORITY
The ministry of highway authority has released a press statement signed by Mr. A. B. K. Nuhu the AG chief executive announcing to the general public and to all road users that some part of selected highways, N1, N2, and N4 will be experience some minimum to maximum disruption to traffic flow from March 11, 2021 in between the hours of 9am to 3pm.
The letter indicates that, the decision is to help GRIDCO to undertake a stringing transmission line conductors across the N1, N2 and N4.
Part of the a statement reads…
“The ministry of roads and highways through the Ghana highway Authority wish to inform the general public and road users that some sections of the following Highways, N1, N2 and N4 will experience minimum to maximum disruptions to traffic flow from Thursday, 11th March, 2021 from 9am – 3pm.
This is to enable GRIDCO to undertake the stinging of transmission line conductors across the N1, N2 and N4 “

The affected area and time of N1 are from Tema to Aflao before the traffic light at T. T Brothers, junction,(9am to 3pm) and N2, that’s from Akosombo, near the newly constructed overhead walkway will be in between the hours of (12noon to 3pm).
The statement also stated, specific dates and subsequent works on the N1 at the Fiesta Royal Traffic Light junction and the Okponglo junction on the N4 will be provided in due course.

It also urged the motorist to kindly follow the traffic diversion signs to be placed at the various sections on the N1, N2 and N4.
