Don’t depend on us, it is your responsibility to train your ward–National PRO. for FIPAG told parent
Movie Producer and PRO for Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG), Mr Mawuli Epke Peter has accused some parents for not taking their responsibility to train their children on the use of mobile phones to access the internet and watching videos that posts threat to their future.

According to him, the use of mobile phone by children for watching adult content videos is worrying and can be attributed to lack or improper parental control.
“there is global development in technology and if care is not taken, children would take advantage of that behave in a way that does not depict the Ghanaian culture”. Said the PRO.
He made this known in an exclusive interview with trendingghana.net after an announcement made by the film classification board chairman, Mr. Socrate Sarfo to get rid of all unclassified videos from television stations.

The PRO also reiterated that though the Ghana Independent Broadcasting Association, GIBA, Film Classification Board, and FIPAG have reached an agreement to halt the premiere of adult content videos on televisions, the greater responsibility lies on parents.
“The responsibility of parents to control their wards still stands, we cannot substitute our work to that of parents, we can control what and when to show a video but we cannot control children at their homes on what to watch” Said the PRO
Mr. Ekpe’s comments came as a result of some parent praising the said agencies for the move to clean up the television stations of videos that could cause threat to their wards.
He therefore advised children and those under 18 years to desist from watching nude videos as the Ghanaian culture does not encourage such and adhere to the instructions by their parents.
