Government is the source corruption – Domelevo decend on Akufo-Addo.
Former Auditor General Mr. Domelvo has hindered that some of the employees from the Audit service who helped him to raise issues of financial impropriety against the former Senior Minister, Yaw Osafo Marfo have been demoted.
This statement is contained in Mr. Daniel Domelovo’s second major speech after he was forced to retire from the Audit service by the President nana Akufo-Addo.
Mr. Domelovo is of the fact that, the source of corruption in Ghana is the government.
However, guest speaker for the Maiden Edition of Domelevo Accountability Lectures, investigative Journalist, Manasseh Awuni noted that collaboration can help anti-graft agencies deal with the menace of corruption in the country.
“Unfortunately there has been times that anti-corruption institutions and agencies have been used by the political class against one another.”
In agreement with Mr. Domelevo’s claim Manasseh Awuni said, “the Deputy Auditor General who was in charge of Central government Audit which is the Ministries Audit to investigate, sent to Ministry of Finance as a Director. More or less, he has brought two steps lower. The Assistant Auditor General who led the Audit has been transferred to into the regions. In fact even the lawyer, who led the case in Court, the Director of Legal Service has been transferred Cape Coast. He is now a District Director in Cape Coast.
