Impacting in silence -Ernest Yaw Anim
“man is by nature a political animal,” in the words of Aristotle. How has this nature manifested? I hesitate to ask.
By some politicians’ actions politics has been described as “a dirty game”. Other politicians have also been described as too gentle for politics.
I have a soft spot for technocrats decently committed to politics, no matter the divide, for the advancement of the society. In Ghana, I have highlighted such from different political colours. But my attention was drawn to this thirty-six year on his January 31 birthday as I read the amazing wishes showered on him on social media.
Chartered accountant and a product of Ohio University (Master of Financial Economics), University of Cape Coast (Bachelor of Commerce), University of Ghana (Certificate in Statistics) and Kumasi Academy (Accounting), Ernest Yaw Anim, has a wealth of working experience in financial, real estates and portfolio management at senior level positions.
I was wowed to gather how he, in silence, contributed immensely to his constituency, Kumawu, in the lead up to the highly competitive December 07, 2020 polls by donating 1,000 ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) branded t-shirts, sponsoring media activities during health walks and youth campaign launch, sponsoring health screening, donating towards house-to-house campaign in which he was actively involved, among others.
We need more of such inspiring youths from across the political divide to highlight the beauty of the game.
