IT IS A TOTAL SHAME THAT NPP MPS VOTED AGAINST ABSOPTION OF TERTIARY EDUCATION FEES – MR DUMELO
A popular Ghanaian farmer, actor, a philanthropic and a politician John Dumelo has also added his Voice to the many who have criticized the members of the majority group in parliament for not supporting a proposal for government to absorb the fees of tertiary students.

According to him, it’s a shame that lawmakers from the New Patriotic party (NPP) voted against the proposal.
The said proposal in question was made by the MP for Bawku central, Mahama Ayariga, who wanted government to absorb the fees in public tertiary institutions this year, in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“ It’s a shame NPP MPs voted against the suspension of tertiary fees. Covid-19 has affected many businesses negatively hence the inability for families to afford fees for their wards. Students risk deferring this semester “ he wrote on his Twitter handle.
