KEN OFORI ATTA FLOWN TO USA FOR COVID-19 TREAMENT
The minister designate for ministry of finance, Honorable Ken Ofori ATTA has been flown to United States of America for a complicated Covid-19 treatment.
A press release and issued by the public relation unit ministry of finance dated on 14th February, 2021 indicates that, the representative of the president at the ministry of finance and minister designate for finance have traveled to the United States of America USA for a special medical review.
The honorable minister is believed to have tested positive for corona virus last year December.
The statement issued went further to explain that, the minister has had medical complications and therefore there is the need for further interventions and with which is not available in Ghana hence it requires him to be flown to USA.
Mr. Ofori was scheduled to appear before the appointment committee of parliament on Tuesday, 16th February, 2021.
The statement however assures the general public, the leadership of parliament has been duly informed and a new date will be fixed upon his return.
