Mass burial for the 13 drowned Apam teens leaves the entire community in mourning
A mass burial for the 13 teenagers who drowned in the Apam beach have been held today.
The death include 11 boys and 2 girls who are in their early ages.
A government delegation at the burial service was led by the central regional minister Marigold Assan.
The police has indicated that their preliminary report reveals that whiles the teens were swimming, a heavy tidal wave blew which resulted in the death of the 13 children on Sunday evening, 7 March, 2021.
On monday March 15, the traditional council at Gomoa performed rituals aimed at appeasing the gods.
The traditional priest offered 1 cow, 3 sheeps, 12 fowls, 33 tubers of yam and 3 cartons of schnapps to the gods.
