MY CLOSE FRIEND IMPREGNATED MY WIFE WHEN I LEFT THE COUNTRY FOR QUR’AN STUDIES – A Muslim Man Recounts His Ordeal
A Burkinabe based in Ghana lamented how his close friend got his wife pregnant while he was away for four years.
Narrating this sad story to our Regional correspondent Mohammed Charisma in Tamale, the capital town of Northern Region, Mr. Mumuni said he traveled to Niger to learn the Holy Qu’ran only for him to come back and see his wife been pregnant for his friend.
“When I came back home, my wife was pregnant and couldn’t understand because I have been away for four years now. I called her and asked who got her pregnant. Guess what! She said I’m responsible for the pregnancy. How can this be possible, I have been away for years now and you are telling me this?
I then threatened to beat the hell out of her if she refuse to tell me the truth and when she saw that I was approaching and my eyes were red, she then confessed that’s it’s my friend who’s responsible for the pregnancy. I felt like killing myself at that moment. How can a friend of mine do such a thing to me? Our friendship has been in existence for many years now. How? I asked myself without getting an answer to the questions.” He lamented.
According the 44 year old man their first born Mumuni Faida is twenty-two years now and she is currently in her second year in one of the universities in Burkina Faso.
He further disclosed to the regional correspondent of TrendingGhana.net, Mr Mohammed, that since he could not contain such hurt, he has divorced the woman.
‘‘Upon consultation with her family and mine, I divorced her and she moved to my friend’s house. She has given birth there and she is currently staying with my friend. I left Burkina Faso to Ghana, Deboya in the Savanah region where some of my family live because I couldn’t withstand the situation any longer. My father last told me that women are not to be trusted but I never believed him until that happened to me. As you can see that I’m holding cigarette, I’m now smoking because anytime I remember this incident, I feel like crying”. He said with regrets.
