‘No behind closed doors directive, dressing rooms robbery claims fake news’-NSA boss
Following social media reports on the National Sports Authority (NSA)’s director general, Prof. Peter O. Twumasi, regarding issues of his implementation of non existent CAF directive on playing matches behind closed doors and the robbery in the dressing rooms of Legon Cities and Chelsea football clubs, the NSA boss has rubbished such claims as “fake news”.
“Why was our match against Sudan in Cape Coast played behind closed doors? They don’t read. Wasn’t the Oforikrom health walk cancelled? In an election year people resort to propaganda. No behind closed doors directive, dressing rooms robbery claims fake news. I called the police commander and he refuted such thing happening. It’s true Hearts has recorded 31 corona virus cases hence suspension of the matches. Other teams with recorded corona virus cases won’t have their matches played. Only those who meet the requirements will have their matches played,” Prof. Twumasi in an interview with freelance editor Osei Kuffour Sunday morning.
