“Not even a teaspoon full of asphalt…”
-NDC PC dares NPP on Offinso roads
With 31 days to the December 07, 2020 general elections in Ghana, the parliamentary candidate for Offinso South constituency on the ticket of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Haruna Yussif, has dared the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), to show any achievement in the constituency in their name.
“Look at the terrible roads to the farms of these hardworking farmers to be awarded today. Farmers are not respected. As if we are joking. It’s a shame. The NDC gave Offinso 11km asphalt road during our time and not even a single hole is on any of the roads but there is not even a teaspoon full of asphalt the NPP has put on the road in 4 years,” the former municipal chief executive strongly spoke.
He is optimistic that the NDC will shock the NPP in the elections because the latter has nothing to present to the good people of Offinso to give them the massive support as in the past.
Mr. Yussif is noted for his infrastructural and other performances in his just 8 months as an MCE for Offinso.
The affable PC spoke to OFFINSO WATCH editor Osei Kuffour on the sidelines of the 36th Farmers’ Day Celebration held at Ayensua in Offinso municipality in the Ashanti region Friday November 06.
