OFFINSO MAASE RESIDENTS IN DANGER OVER
STENCH, MOSQUITOES FROM REFUSE
Residents of Maase in Offinso municipality in the Ashanti region of Ghana risk suffering disease outbreak over the unbearable scent and mosquitoes from their mountain size refuse dump and one spilled over Zoomlion waste container.
“The age old refuse dump is just by our houses. We can’t breathe. The mosquitoes are too much. We’re dying here,” a resident lamented to OFFINSO WATCH and Health Campaign 🇬🇭Ghana editor Osei Kuffour on Monday morning.
In a related development, when the office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) and the assembly woman for Amoawi/Ampabame electoral area called on the leadership of Ampabame on measures to save them from their refuse crisis the chief rather opted for getting their bad road leading to Offinso College of Education (OfCE) fixed as soon as possible.
OFFINSO WATCH and Health Campaign 🇬🇭Ghana urge residents to team up on resolving their waste crises by engaging the municipal administration and other stakeholders to save lives.
