OFFINSO MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY DONATES TO 20 PEOPLE AS PART OF THE GOVERNMENT LEAP PROGRAM

The Livelihood Empowerment against Poverty (LEAP) programme provides cash and health insurance to extremely poor households across Ghana to alleviate short-term poverty and encourage long term human capital development. … As of early 2015, the program reached over 90,000 households across Ghana.

The Offinso municipal Assembly has today 24th December, 2021 made donations to 20 people who are physically challenged to support their living.

Some of the things they shared were bags of maize, oven, sowing machine, deep freezer fridge, cash etc.
On behalf of the government, the Municipal Chief Executive of Offinso South, Hon. Kingsley Owusu Appiah told the people that, they choose few people so that they can give them something that can give them enough support. He also promised those who are disable but didn’t receive anything today that, they should wait for next year because it’s going to be their turn.

Mr Philemon Quashi who was among the beneficiaries shared how he became disabled and also showed appreciation to the government and the assembly at large.

Madam Esther Manu received 10 bags of maize and showed appreciation to them for their kind gestures towards them.
