Pastors Should Not Use Their Pulpit To Declare Their Political Parties – NCCE Director
The NCCE director for the Offinso Municipal, Mr Emmanul Oduro has told all religious leaders to abstain from using their pulpits to do politics.
He made this declaration on the Offinso-based Life FM’s Morning Show dubbed ‘Me Man Nti’ hosted by Nana Kwabena Aboagye.
When Real Abi, the sit-in host, asked about the reason of his assertion, Mr Oduro said that the members of every church do belong to different parties so it wouldn’t be prudent to declare your side in the church as a pastor or church leader.
He further advised the youth and citizens to be careful and not to be used by politicians.
”When the politicians approach you to do something bad, ask them if they don’t have family members to do such works. With this, bad practices will reduce in Ghana politics.” He added.
He later advised taxi drivers to be careful on the road to prevent any sort of accidents as we approach the elections.
