There has been a clash between the police and some of the residents in sokoto due the killing of Deborah- a student of Sheyhu Shagari College of Education who made a blasphemous comment about the Islam religion and the Prophet Muhammad. This happened on the Saturday, May 14 when the police arrested some group of people suspected to have been involved in the killing of Deborah. Some of the residents upon hearing that some of their colleagues have been apprehended by the police resorted to protesting which led to the shooting of one of the protesters. The police have opened stern investigations into the matter, and they’ll bring offenders to book at the right time. Here is a video of the clash between the police and the protesters;
