President Akufo Addo and his Vice must resign over economic hardships — NDC Secretary.

The National Democratic Congress constituency secretary for Offinso South of the Ashanti Region, Mr. Abass Amogobo has called for the resignation of President Akufo Addo and his Vice, Dr. Bawumia over the unforgiving economic hardships in the country.

The failure of the NPP government according to the constituency secretary is unprecedented due to poor management of the economy in the history of Ghana’s politics.

Speaking to journalists on Saturday, April, 2, on the state of the economy, he again lamented that President Akufo-Addo must resign over what it described as incompetence and lack of leadership traits.

The Offinso South constituency secretary is worried that the economy is still bleeding and struggling for survival, for the last 5 years.

Accusing the current government of showing zero tolerance and disregard for the suffering masses, want Akufo-Addo to wholeheartedly resign for either a new NPP man to take over until 2024 general elections.

He has expressed his displeasure over imposition of new taxes and unstable price of fuel for the past months.

Traders in the country according to him, are complaining about the depreciation of the local currency against its major trading partner, the dollar, saying the development is affecting capital.

He bemoaned and indicated that the Government had done little to stabilize the local currency.

Mr. Abass Amogobo also described the nation’s youth unemployment situation as worrying and a total failure on the part of the government to secure them jobs whiles the existing ones are collapsing.

Recent inflation figures in his view indicate that the cost of living is soaring out of control, couples with unfavorable government’s economic policies.

Mr. Amogobo called on the government to immediately sit up to work towards increasing salaries to commensurate workers with the upsurge of prices of goods and services in the economy.
