RESIDENTS THREATENING DEMONSTRATION AFTER DYNAMITE BLAST DESTROYS PROPERTIES.
Some residents of Bontefufuo areas, specifically ESAASE in the Amansie West district of the Ashanti Region say they are reeling under the negative impact of a dynamite blast by ASANKO GOLD MINES working in the BONTEFUFUO enclaves.
The residents have also raised serious concerns over the poor management of natural resources in affected communities.

Several buildings within the catchment area have suffered serious structural defects after The company undertook their blasting of rocks for their regular activities.
Some affected residents say the company, ASANKO GOLD MINES is yet to pay any form of compensation despite been officially informed them about the ongoing situation.
Spokesperson for the concerned residents, OHENEBA PRINCE expressed that, they are of the view that Mining company working in the area must work according to strict regulations while protecting lives and properties.
He also stated that they want government to call the company to order before they demonstrate to halt their activities.
