FLOATATION OF SHARES,THE GENESIS OF HEARTS NEEDLESS PROBLEMS-ERNEST THOMPSON
We took a key decision which unfortunately has created some needless problems for the club.
The club was doing excellent on the field of play but we found out that the biggest problem facing the club was the financial side,we were still relying on individuals to help the club so we decided that to buttress our performance on the field,we should have to change the financial and legal structure of the club by doing the incoperation and eventually floating of shares.
The whole idea was to improve the financial base of the club and also by keeping the supporters involved in the club so that they own the club but unfortunately and needlessly it has rather created the problems for the club.It has led to disagreement as to the way forward between the current management and the old management which is not good for the club.
We still have unissued shares which has to be issued. We cannot continue to rely on individuals to purchase quality players, what ever money they give, they will take it as a loan.
The decision to improve the financial base of the club has run into a problem and there’s the need for the board to sit down and find a way out of that issue,it cannot continue that way.
