THE MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT FOR YENDI CONSTITUENCY EMBARKS ON THANKSGIVING TOUR
The newly elected member of parliament of the New patriotic party NPP for the Yendi constituency has embarked on a thanksgiving tour.
He started his tour to the constituency on Sunday 17th January, 2021 to show his appreciation to electorates for his victory in the just ended December 7 2020 polls.
The member of parliament began the exercise at the Gbewaa palace where he paid a courtesy call on the overlord of the Dagbon Kingdom Yaa-Naa Abubakar II.
He also paid a visit to Zohe Naa Abdulai Salifu, and Mba-Dugu as well as other chiefs and opinion leaders and thanked them for their role in the peaceful conduct of the elections.
“I’m using this opportunity to express my appreciation to the electorates of Yendi for reposting Confidence in me and president Akufo Addo in the recent presidential and parliament elections “ Alhaji Faruk Aliu Mahama stated.
“During this period, I will be visiting all electoral areas in the constituency for voting massively for the NPP” he added.
He has currently visited Adibo, Gbungbaliga, kpalbilogni, kpanjamba, Nakpachei, Ngani and Zugu in the Yendi municipality.
However, the former Deputy procurement manager for cocoabod commended constituency executives, campaign team members, electoral area and pooling station executives for their hard work in securing victory.
The son of the late former vice president Alhaji Faruk Aliu Mahama replaced former NPP member of parliament and Deputy minister for Foreign Affairs, Alhaji Habib Tijani who served two terms in parliament.
