“treat anybody you meet as a suspect”-Psychiatrist on covid
” Just as we have survived, we shall surely survive one more time but the safety protocols must be adhered to: social distancing, wearing of nose masks and properly too, handwashing or sanitation, no hugging or hand shake, treat anybody you meet as a suspect, don’t panic but just go by the protocols, report early symptoms and all shall be well,” Ghana’s chief psychiatrist, Dr. Akwasi Osei, in an interview with Health Campaign 🇬🇭Ghana’s editor Osei Kuffour Sunday afternoon.
Dr. Osei’s call comes hours to President Nana Akufo-Addo’s Update 22 on fighting the corona virus pandemic after ten months of schools shutdown and the official reopening Monday.
Meanwhile the Ashanti Regional Health Directorate has hinted of contact tracing after the rise of corona virus cases in the region amidst preparations towards the reopening.
Health Campaign 🇬🇭Ghana laments the gross disregard for safety protocols by the public and has, therefore, described the reopening of schools as a “gamble”.
