Treat People With Mental Health Problems With Love – The Ashanti Best Nurse, Mr Fosu Benjamin Voices Out.
The Ashanti regional best nurse who works with the St Patrick’s Hospital in Offinso has advised the public to treat people with mental health problems with love and care since they’re also human beings.
He gave this out in an interview with Trendingghana.net after he was sighted delivering mental health education to Junior High School Students in one of the deprived towns in the municipality.
The Offinso Bonsua M/A Junior High School has unprecedentedly benefited from a mental health and covid-19 education on the need to adhere to various protocols in order to be safe from them.
This health education was organized by the Ashanti regional best nurse, Mr Fosu Owusu Benjamin to serve as a helping hand to the government of Ghana in dealing with such problems.
Speaking in an interview with trendingghana.net, the outstanding nurse said, “health-work is not about sitting at your comfort zones to be welcoming patients.”
According to him, there are people suffering from mental problems without their notice but visiting them and giving them such health education would help fish out such people.
He again attributed some recent suicide cases to lack of awareness to their mental illness.
Mr. Fosu therefore advised the general public to treat people with mental problems with love as it is not their wish to be in that condition.
