Court refused to grant bill to business man who beat his wife to death

The Madina district court has refused an application to grant bill to Prince Charles Dedjo, a business man accused of allegedly beating his wife Lillian Dedjo severely leading to her death.
Lawyer for the victim Captain Nkrabea argued that the court had the capacity to admit the accused person bill citing a judgement of the supreme court.
The prosecution however prayed the court to refuse the bill application to afford them more time with the investigation.

The case has been adjourned to 12 April, 202.
However Lawyer Nkrabea blamed the media to what she called “trial by the media”, according such “trial by the media” is not in the interest of justice
“There should be nothing like trial by the media, because you have tired the hands of the accused person, the accused person cannot speak, the accused person cannot make press conference, the accused person cannot grant any interview, but people are using social media without being able to substantiate what they are saying”. Said lawyer Nkrabea

The lawyer for the accused business man is of the view that
Mr. Dedjo though committed murder, is innocent.

He therefore advised media men to allow the law to take it course without any interference.

Father of the late Lilian, Charles Blasu said that he is believing God for justice.
He noted that there are a lot of women undergoing domestic violence, hence advised that such people should be bold and come out and report to the appropriate agencies.
